Fans were not happy with Shoaib Akhtar's statement on Virat Kohli for not getting married to Anushka Sharma

The legendary pacer from Pakistan, Shoaib Akhtar has reckoned that Virat Kohli should have married after done with his cricket career. The 46-year-old claimed that the Delhi born batsman has immense pressure when he comes out to bat.

Since 2019, Virat Kohli is yet to get the triple-digit score across all aspects of the game. Moreover, he is yet to win an ICC trophy as a captain which pushed him to step down from the leadership.

In addition to that, after losing the three-match Test series against South Africa, Virat Kohli announced that he has stepped down the Test cricket captaincy as well. As of now, Rohit Sharma will be the full-time skipper for India in limited-overs cricket and is likely to lead the Indian team in Test cricket as well.

Considering the dip in Virat Kohli's form, the former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar has made his statement while speaking with ANI where he claimed, "Virat didn’t leave captaincy but was forced to do so. This is not the best of times for him but he needs to prove what he is made of.

Is he made of steel or iron? He is a great guy and a cricketer. Do not try too many things, just go out there and play cricket. He is a great batsman and has achieved more than anyone else in the world. He just needs to go out there and play with his natural flow."

"He plays a lot with his bottom hand and I think when the form is out, bottom hand players usually are the first ones to get in trouble. I think he’s gonna come out of this. He should move forward from this and not keep any bitterness against anyone.

Just forgive everybody and keep moving. I know BCCI will make a smart decision regarding this," he added. However, fans were not happy with the Pakistan pacer's statement and started to criticize him on the social media platform.
