LLC 2022: Watch - Vintage Brett Lee turns back the clock and won the game for World Giants with the top-class bowling

 

India Maharajas and World Giants have faced off each other in the 6th match of the Legends League Cricket at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground on Thursday.

Having a look at the game, Yusuf Pathan, the skipper of India Maharajas won the toss and asked the opposition to bat. Kevin Pietersen and Phil Mustard opened the innings for World Giants, as Munaf Patel sent back the English cricketer for 11 runs.

However, Herschelle Gibbs joined with Phil Mustard as both the batters added 98 runs for the second wicket partnership. Irfan Pathan provided the breakthrough for India by removing Phil Mustard who was batting on 57 runs.

Still, the opposition batters dominated the India Maharajas bowling alley and scored a mammoth total of 228 runs on the board. Herschelle Gibbs top-scored for World Giants, having scored 89 runs from 46 deliveries with the help of 7 boundaries and 7 sixes.

Chasing the mammoth target posted by the opposition, India Maharajas opened the innings with Naman Ojha and Wasim Jaffer.

Ryan Jay Sidebottom gave the expected start by removing the Punjab Kings coach for 4 runs followed by Subramaniam Badrinath who has been removed by Morne Morkel in the quick session.

After that, Naman Ojha and Yusuf Pathan played well in the middle and added 102 runs for the third wicket partnership. Then Albie Morkel finally got the wicket of Yusuf Pathan who scored 45 runs for his team.

After the wicket of Stuart Binny and Naman Ojha, Irfan Pathan took the charge and scored 56 runs from just 21 balls and has been removed by Brett Lee. Naman Ojha fought with all he had and scored 95 runs for his team.

The game when into the last over where 8 runs were needed off just 6 balls with Brett Lee into the other end. The legendary pacer has once again done his job and won the game for his team.
