IND vs WI: Watch - Deepak Hooda claims his first international wicket in his first over in the 2nd ODI

India and West Indies have clashed with each other in the second ODI at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Wednesday. India defeated West Indies in the first ODI and having a look at the second match, winning the toss, the skipper of West Indies Nicholas Pooran asked the opposition to bat first.

Surprisingly, Rohit Sharma opened the innings with the wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant as the fans expected KL Rahul to open the inning with him. His plans didn't go well as Rohit Sharma went back to the dressing after being dismissed by Kemar Roach for 5 runs.

Virat Kohli came in at number three and played some good shots along with the left-hander. However, Odean Smith provided the second breakthrough after the powerplay overs and sent back Rishabh Pant who was batting on 18 runs.

After the dismissal of Rishabh Pant, Virat Kohli too left the battle in the same over bowled by Odean Smith as he scored 18 runs on the board. Then, KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav played well in the middle overs and once again made India bounce back in this match.

Both the batters dominated the opposition and gathered runs with a plethora of extraordinary shots they played. Both KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav added 91 runs for the fourth wicket partnership before the Karanataka batsman engaged in a miss communication with his partner and was run out by Akeal Hossain and Shai Hope.

He missed his well deserved fifty by just one run. Then Washington Sundar and Suryakumar Yadav aggregated some runs before both the batters walked back to the pavilion with the numbers 64 and 24.

In the end, India posted a decent total of 239 runs with the help of Deepak Hooda's 29 runs by coming down the order. Chasing the target posted by the hosts, lost the match by a margin of 44 runs and will be looking to win the upcoming game to survive from the whitewash.
