Watch: Ellyse Perry saved a six with a phenomenal fielding effort
The Australian women are currently playing the ODI series against New Zealand women. They are currently leading the three-match ODI series by 2-0 and the final game will be played on 10th April.
Rachael Haynes and Alyssa Healy provided them with a flying start as Healy and Haynes scored 44 and 87 runs respectively. The decent scores from the middle-order helped them post a total of 271 on the board.
It was a must-win game for the New Zealand women as they already lost the first game of the series. But, their top-order failed badly that put pressure on the middle-order players.
Though Amelia Kerr and Brooke Halliday built a decent partnership, it was not enough to beat the strong Australian side. They were bundled out for 200 runs and lost the game by 71 runs.
With the victory, the visitors have continued their unbelievable winning streak, which now stands at 23 wins. They have not lost a single ODI game in the last 1262 days.
