We are here on another day of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League where Sunrisers Hyderabad takes on Gujarat Titans at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. The skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kane Williamson won the toss and asked the opposition to bat.

Mathew Wade opened the innings for Gujarat Titans along with Shubman Gill. Bhuvneshwar Kumar provided the first breakthrough for his side by sending back the man in-form Shubman Gill for just 7 runs.

Then Sai Sudharsan came out to bat but couldn't long as T Natarajan removed him when he was batting on 11 runs. As wickets fell on, the skipper finally decided to come out and played a crucial inning for his team.

In the end, Gujarat Titans posted a quiet and hard defendable total of 162 runs with the help of Abhinav Manohar's 35 and Hardik Pandya's unbeaten half-century.

After a crucial knock played by Abhinav Manohar by coming down the order, the latter shared his thoughts after the end of the first half and said, "The stars were in the right place today.

I got three chances, but I should have carried it on. I won't get these many lives everyday. We looked to play till the 17th over and then go after it," Manohar was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

"He was set, so I decided to go after. The pitch is pretty good, and I feel with our bowling lineup, we should restrict them. It depends on the first six overs, with our fast bowlers, we should maximize the powerplay," he added.

However, chasing the target of 163 runs. Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma opened the innings and were given the start that their team expected from them. Both the batters added 64 runs for the opening wicket partnership before the left-handed batter was dismissed by Rashid Khan for 42 runs.

As of now, Kane Williamson and Rahul Tripathi have taken the charge and doing their job well for the side. Besides, during the first half of the match, the Rahul Tripathi has taken a splendid one-handed catch to dismiss Shubman Gill.
