PAK v WI: West India squad lands in Karachi Pakistan for limited series

 

The West Indies cricket team has landed in Karachi to play three T20Is and three ODIs at the National Stadium from December 13-22.
 

KARACHI - The West Indies team has landed in the coastal metropolis to play the limited-overs series against Men in Green in the national stadium.

According to reports in local media, the men in Maroon entered the provincial capital via Dubai while strict security measures were in place. The visitors will take part in a planned training session at the national stadium tomorrow after a day of quarantine.

Nicholas Pooran will lead the Windies roster in the T20I series, while Shai Hope is in charge of the ODI series as skipper after Kieron Pollard was excluded from the tour due to a hamstring injury sustained during the T20 World Cup.

In the meantime, the two-time former world champions will play three T20Is and the same number of ODIs at the venue from December 13th. West Indies have selected several capless players in two 15-man squads for the tour of Pakistan.

White ball guests captain Kieron Pollard was banned from the tour after failing to recover from his hamstring injury sustained during the T20 World Cup. West Indies, which failed to reach the T20 World Cup semi-finals, have selected several players without team caps in two 15-man squads for the tour of Pakistan.

West Indies will be the first visit to an international site since England and New Zealand canceled scheduled tours this year for safety reasons.
