KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant are likely to get an A+ contract from BCCI

With millions of people present in a country it is not easy to make it into the squad and don the jersey India in the gentlemen game. The cricketers have to be at their best in the domestic circuit like Ranji Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and in the Indian Premier League to caught the eyes of the Indian selectors.

Still, it's not an easy task to make it into the Indian cricket team as we have witnessed a lot of players who were warming the bench in recent times as well.

The 30-year-old right-handed batsman, Suryakumar Yadav is one of those cricketers who continuously performed across many occasions and finally got an opportunity to don the Indian jersey in recent times. However, it's not easy to get into playing xi unless you perform up to the expectations consistently.

KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant might get an A+ contract from BCCI:

Considering the reports from PTI, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) might give A+ grade contract for KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant in the upcoming days.

The BCCI has four categories in which they split the players and make their payments according to the categories like A+, A, B and C. The players in the A+ category will receive a sum of INR 7 crores whereas the rest of the category will receive 5, 3 and 1 crores respectively.

According to the reports, "Obviously, Rohit, Kohli and Bumrah being the three indispensable players across formats would be in A plus category beyond doubt," a senior source from BCCI said to PTI.

"But now Rahul and Pant are slowly establishing themselves as all-format regulars, so it needs to be seen whether the duo gets a promotion or not. The central contract is a performance indicator of where you stand as per your performance during the last season.

If the BCCI and head coach (Rahul) Dravid decide to honour the duo and keep them in group A, then it’s a different issue but under normal circumstances, they ideally won’t feature in group A."
