Heather Knight got heaped praise from the RCB fans and skipper Smriti Mandhana for providing a much-needed breakthrough by sending back dangerous Ashleigh Gardner. Coming to the ongoing battle between Gujarat Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore Women, Sneh Rana won the toss and decided to bat.

Megan Schutt provided the first breakthrough for RCB Women by dismissing Sabbhineni Megana for 8 runs. However, Sophia Dunkley and Harleen Deol took the situation under their control and put up a crucial 60-run stand for the second wicket.

Then Sophia Dunkley had to walk back after being dismissed by Shreyanka Patil for 65 runs. After her dismissal, Harleen Deol continued her stints with the bat and once again she added an important partnership for the 4th wicket with Ashleigh Gardner.

The Australian all-rounder was removed by Heather Knight for 19 runs. Following her, Dayalan Hemalatha smashed a few boundaries and ended up her inning scoring 16 runs from just 7 balls.
