WPL 2023: Watch - Radha Yadha does copycat of Faf du Plessis, pulling off a breathtaking catch to dismiss Deepti Sharma against UP Warriorz

 

Radha Yadav took a stunning catch off Deepti Sharma when she tried to smash Shikha Pandey over the long-on region during the match between Delhi Capitals vs UP Warriorz Women. Talking about the game, Alyssa Healy won the toss and asked the opposition to bat.

Batting first, Delhi Capitals Women posted a huge total of 211 runs with the help of Meg Lanning's 70-run knock. Following her knock, Jemimah Rodrigues and Jess Jonassen also contributed well with the bat, smashing an unbeaten 34 and 42 runs for their side.

While chasing the target, UP Warriorz failed to live up to the reputation of the fans and ended up losing by a margin of 42 runs. Tahila McGrath was the lone warrior for UP Warriorz Women as she remained unbeaten on smashing 90 runs from 50 balls with the help of 11 fours and 4 sixes to her name.

After winning the match, the skipper of Delhi Capitals Women, Meg Lanning was seen quite happy with their performance against UP Warriorz Women and shared a few words in the post-match presentation.

"Nice start to the tournament. Our batting has been great. I've thoroughly enjoyed batting here in India. So far so good. It's not surprising (200+ scores). Great advert for the game.

Hope it continues. It's been very enjoyable so far. Everyone's very friendly. Great set-up here at Delhi Capitals," Meg Lanning was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

"Tonight it was probably Jess the batter. Went for a few runs at the end (with the ball). I love batting. Nice that it came off tonight. The wicket was incredible.

She definitely hits me for quite a few sixes in the nets (Healy). Happy to get one over her. Always an enjoyable competition when we come up against one another," said Jess Jonassen, Player of the Match.
