WPL 2023: Watch - Jemimah Rodrigues pulls off a stunning diving catch to dismiss Hayley Matthews during Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians Womne match

 

Jemimah Rodrigues has taken a stunning catch of dangerous Hayley Matthews by diving forward during the match between Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians Women on 9th March, Thursday.

Talking about the game, Meg Lanning, the skipper of Delhi capitals Women won the toss and hopefully, she decided to bat. Mumbai Indians bowlers did a great job with the ball as they bundled the opposition for just 105 runs.

The skipper, Meg Lanning was the lone warrior for Delhi capitals as she scored 43 runs for her side. Mumbai Indians Women got a strong start from their openers Yastika Bhatia and Hayley Mathews as the opposition drew their first blood on 65.

It was Tara Norris who gave the first breakthrough for Delhi Capitals Women by sending back Yastika Bhatia for 41 runs. After that, Jamimah Rodriques took a stunning forward diving catch to dismiss the West Indies batter, Hayley Matthews for 32 runs.

However, in the end, Mumbai Indians Women won the battle against Delhi Capitals Women by chasing down a total of 105 runs in 15 overs. Hence, Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians are unbeatable in this tournament with 3 wins from the three games they played.

During the post-match presentation, the skipper of the winning team, Harmanpreet Kaur praised her bowlers for doing a great job against Delhi Capitals in this game.

"Today our bowlers did really well. They're making my job easier. Whoever comes in is eager to bowl. When you have so many options, your job is so easy. Credit to our bowlers. Bowling according to the field is key in T20s and we're able to do that.

After the last game, we all discussed that we bowled some bad balls. Yastika and Hayley gave us a really good start. Now the tournament is going to start because the pitches are going to be on the slower side," Harmanpreet Kaur was quoted saying by Cricbuzz.
