Watch: Yuzvendra Chahal says he should bat at No.3 for RCB

As part of the Indian Premier League 2021, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore will face off in Dubai for the 43rd time this season. RCB are well on their way to the playoffs, but RR need to win their last three games to have a chance of finishing among the top four.

A new Dubai pitch with grass on top was chosen by Virat Kohli, who elected to bowl first. George Garton was given his first cap by RCB in lieu of Kyle Jamieson, while Kartik Tyagi was given a debut by RR in place of Jaydev Unadkat.

In 20 overs, RR amassed 149/9 runs. RCB will be optimistic about their prospects of chasing down the goal on this batting-friendly surface.

Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal started the match on fire, scoring 48 runs for the first wicket in 5 overs. Kohli was bowled out while sprinting on a misfield by Mustafizur Rahman, who had a field day against Padikkal.

Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Maxwell then joined Bharat at the crease and they were moving the scoreboard quickly without taking any risk. The Australian cricketer was in good touch and completed the chase with a fantastic fifty.

Commentators also polled their audiences to find out who should bat third for the RCB in the IPL in 2021. Since the league resumed in the UAE, Srikar Bharat has been batting third. The top three picks in the vote were Srikar Bharat, AB de Villiers, and Glenn Maxwell.

Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal of the Royal Challengers Bangalore was in the dugout when the results of the vote were announced. When Chahal made his hand motions, it was an allusion to his batting at number three for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
