Watch: Virat Kohli almost pulls off a spectacular catch

Virat Kohli, the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, isn't afraid to be physical on the field. On the field, he's already made several incredible grabs. But one more would have taken him a long time to realise. Despite the fact that it was not a catch, Kohli's spectacular rescue was a joy to see as he performed a full-length dive to save Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Chris Morris from a bullet shot.

Rajasthan's Mohammed Siraj bowled his final over of the game when the attempt was made. The Men in Pink needed a few fast runs to round off their inning on a positive note after the previous two balls had gone for only one run apiece.

Consequently, Morris attempted an audacious shot and seemed to have timed it well until Kohli sprang towards the ball and even collected it on the full in one fluid move, as if out of nowhere.

In addition, the Bangalore captain was fast to return the ball, and a hit that seemed to be heading for the boundary ended up going for just a single instead. In the last 24 hours, Kohli's attempt has gone viral on the web.

As for the current encounter at Dubai International Stadium, Bangalore has been putting up a tremendous fight. At one point in the game, Rajasthan had reached 100/1 in 11 overs and it seemed as if the UAE leg might end with a 200-plus total for the first time this season.

Rajasthan made 149/9 at the conclusion of their innings. Karnataka had a strong bowling attack, led by Harshal Patel (3/34) and Yzvendra Chahal (2/18) as well as Shahbaz Ahmed (2/10). Rajasthan's highest run scorers were openers Evin Lewis (58) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (31) but neither batted long enough to assist their team to achieve the total they desired.

Bangalore may get two more points if Rajasthan wins, bringing their total to 14, while a victory for Rajasthan puts them on par with Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians at 10.
