Watch: Rahul Dravid lauds fielding coach T Dilip after Ishan Kishan executes a direct hit to dismiss Tim Seifert

The third T20I of the three-match series between India and New Zealand has ended up in the favour of the hosts. India whitewashed New Zealand by winning all three games without the likes of Virat Kohli and a few others.

Talking about the match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. He opened with Ishan Kishan and gave a flying to their innings by taking on the opposition bowlers all around the park.

Mitchell Santner who was captaining New Zealand gave the first breakthrough by removing Ishan Kishan for 29 runs. After that, he went on to scalp back to back wickets of Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant and made his team bounce back in the game.

However, Rohit Sharma was looking good with the bat and returned to the dressing room with the numbers 56. Then Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer played a decent inning in the middle-order and scored 25 and 20 runs respectively.

Summary of the match between India vs New Zealand:

The lower-order batters Harshal Patel and Deepak Chahar did well for India as both of them added 18 and 21 runs respectively. With the help of that, India posted a challenging total of 184 runs and asked the opposition to chase it down in the allotted overs.

Chasing the total, Martin Guptill and Daryl Mitchell opened the innings for their side. However, they didn't get the expected start as Axar Patel removed Daryl Mitchell, Mark Chapman and Glenn Phillips in his back to backovers.

Martin Guptill was the lone warrior and he continuously took on the Indian bowlers whereas the story is different on the other end. Despite Tim Seifert, no one managed to score more than 15 runs and returned to the pavilion with cheap numbers.
