Watch: Nitish Rana broke the camera glass near the boundary rope

The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League has a lot of twists and turns this season. Having a look at the previous match between  Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders, the Hyderabad-based franchise won the toss and opted to bat first.

They got a poor start to their innings as Tim Southee removed Wriddhiman Saha in the second ball of the first over. Jason Roy followed him after adding 10 runs on the board. They went on to score only 35 runs at the end of the powerplay.

The skipper of the side Kane Williamson looked good on one end but Shakib Al Hasan's direct hit to the stumps made him turn back to the pavilion. Then Priyam Garg and Abdul Samad added 21 and 25 runs each before going back to the dugout. In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a total of 115 runs which is very short of their expectation.

Summary of the match between:

Kolkata Knight Riders didn't get the expected start from their openers. Venkatesh Iyer who had a great season in the second phase of the cash-rich contest has been removed by Jason Holder.

After that, the leggie from Afghanisthan also gave the breakthrough by sending off Rahul Tripathi for single-digit numbers. But Shubman Gill batted according to the situation along with Nitish Rana.

Both the duo added 45 runs for the 3rd wicket before Shubman Gill being dismissed by Siddarth Kaul for 57 runs. Then the wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik finished the game for Kolkata Knight Riders by scoring a crucial 18 off 12 deliveries and helped his team to run over the victory line.

During the game, Nitish Rana smashed the lens of the camera near the boundary rope. It was an accident as the left-hander went to hit a boundary at the mid-wicket region and Rashid Khan pointed out that the camera was broken.
