Watch: Mustfizur Rahman cleans up Mohammad Rizwan in the 1st T20I against Pakistan

Pakistan and Bangladesh were up against each other in the 1st T20I at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on 19th November, Friday. Coming to the match, the skipper of Bangladesh Mahmudullah won the toss and opted to bat first.

Though winning the toss, they didn't get the expected start from the top-order batsmen. Hasan Ali and Mohammad Wasim sent back the Mohammad Naim, Saif Hassan and Najmul Hossain Shanto for cheap numbers within the powerplay overs.

Then Afif Hussain played some good strokes in the middle and started to accelerate the run rate. However, the skipper of the side Mahmudullah also departed after scoring just 6 runs for his team.

Nurul Hasan joined with Afif Hussain and continued to play a crucial for their side. After the departure of both Afif Hussain and Nurul Hassan for 36 and 28 runs, Mahedi Hassan played a crucial cameo of 30 from 20 balls and helped his team to post a decent total of 127 runs on the board.

Summary of the match between Pakistan and Bangladesh:

Babar Azam

Chasing the target of 128 runs given by the hosts, the current best openers of Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan and the skipper Babar Azam took the charge for their team. However, things didn't go in their favour as Mustafizur Rahman went through his bat when Rizwan was batting on 11.

Then Taskin Ahmed did the same of the opposition skipper Babar Azam who bowled out for just 7 runs. However, Fakhar Zaman played well at no.3 whereas Haider Ali and Shoaib Malik departed with ducks.

After that, Khusdil Shas joined with the left-hander and continued to dominate the opposition bowlers and put his team in the driver seat. Bangladesh once again made a good comeback by removing both the settled batsmen for 34 and 34 each.

With that, Pakistan won the match with 4 wickets in hand. During the match, Mustafizur Rahman bowled a brilliant delivery to dismiss the in-form Mohammad Rizwan by going through his stumps.
