Watch: MS Dhoni cussed after being dismissed by Bishnoi
MS Dhoni, the skipper of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), was ejected by Ravi Bishnoi while attempting to play away from his body against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Thursday in Dubai after failing to score once again. Dhoni's CSK squad was reduced to 134/6 in 20 overs when PBKS decided to bowl first.
A googly from Bishnoi got an inside edge before resting on the stumps in the 12th over's last delivery. The 40-year-old had previously scored 27 runs off 18 balls, but he could only muster 12 from 15 this time. For the IPL 2021 season, the CSK has a strike rate of 95.4 and an average of 13.71 runs per IPL 2021 innings.
Chennai's in-form opener Ruturaj Gaikwad (12) was bowled out in the fourth over of their last league encounter. Moeen Ali entered the fray, but he was out for a six-ball duck after coming out to bat. Arshdeep Singh, the pacer, was the one to score both times. As time went on, Chris Jordan entered the fray, dismissing Robin Uthappa in the seventh over and Ambati Rayudu in the ninth over.

After a fantastic knock from Faf du Plessis, they posted a decent total of 134 on their board. However, CSK bowlers had no answer to KL Rahul as he smashed the bowlers all over the park.
While Punjab was losing the wickets at one end, the skipper kept on hitting boundaries from the other end. With the help of KL Rahul's unbeaten 98 off just 42, they chased down the total in just 13 overs.
With 18 points in the pocket, the Chennai Super Kings will finish the league stage in the top 2 in the points table. They will be looking to get back their form during the playoffs and win the tournament comfortably.
