Watch: MS Dhoni and Rishabh Pant caught practising during India vs Australia warm-up match

 

After defeating Jos Buttler-led England in the first warm-up match, Team India had to face off mighty Australia in the second warm-up match on Wednesday. Talking about the match, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first.

They didn't get the expected start as Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja went through the top-order and removed David Warner, Aaron Finch and Mitchell Marsh for cheap numbers.

Moreover, it was Rohit Sharma leading the side with Virat Kohli and co. Coming back to the game, Steven Smith and Glenn Maxwell played well in the middle and added 61 runs for the 4th wicket partnership.

Then Rahul Chahar cleaned the stumps of Glenn Maxwell and sent back the "Big Show" for 37 runs. After his dismissal, Marcus Stoinis joined with Steven Smith and started to dominate the Indian bowlers all around the park.

Later, Steven Smith was removed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar for 57 runs. But Stoinis was well settled on the other end and remained unbeaten on 41 off 25 balls. In the end, Australia posted a decent total of 152 runs on the board. 

Rohit Sharma gets back to his form:

Coming to the second half of the match, the premium openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma opened the innings for India. Both the openers give the expected start and dominated the Australian bowlers all around the park.

Then Ashton Agar sent back the Karnataka batsman KL Rahul for 39 runs. Then Suryakumar Yadav joined hands with the Indian skipper and continued the trend where KL Rahul left.

Rohit Sharma completed his fifty in 36 balls and went back to the pavilion for 60 runs. Hardik Pandya replaced well-settled Rohit Sharma and started to tear the bowlers along with Suryakumar Yadav.

He finished off by hitting a six straight over the bowler as MS Dhoni used to do during the early days. In the end, Team India beat Australia with 9-wickets in hand.

Besides, MS Dhoni and Rishabh Pant were caught while having to practise near the boundary ropes. Those moments cannot be ignored as the video went viral among the fans on social media platforms.
