Watch: Kusal Perera drops an easy catch of David Warner during Australia vs Sri Lanka match

Australia and Sri Lanka have faced off each other at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday. Coming to the match, Aaron Finch won the toss and asked the opposition to bat first.

Pat Cummins provided the expected start and removed Pathum Nissanka for 7 runs. However, Kusal Perera and Charith Asalanka have played well and added 63 runs for the 2nd wicket partnership before Adam Zampa sends back Asalanka with the number 35.

Kusal Perera and Avishka Fernando followed him in the back-to-back overs and Sri Lanka started to struggle in the middle overs of the match. Then Bhanuka Rajapaksa played well throughout the match and remained unbeaten on 33 runs.

In the end, Sri Lanka posted a decent total of 154 runs and had a big challenge to defend the score against the well-built Australian lineup.

Chasing the target of 155 runs, Aaron Finch and David Warner opened the innings for Australia and provided the expected start that team needed from them. Wanindu Hasaranga gave the breakthrough by dismissing dangerous Aaron Finch for 37 runs.

Then the "Big Show" joined with David Warner but couldn't do much with the bat. Once again it was Wanindu Hasaranga who gave another breakthrough for Sri Lanka by sending back Glenn Maxwell for a single-digit score.
