Watch: Jasprit Bumrah amusingly misses the stumps despite Namibia batsman giving up

 

India played their last match under the leadership of Virat Kohli against Namibia in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Talking about the match, India won the toss and asked Namibia to bat first.

Their openers Stephan Baard and Michael van Lingen give a decent start to the innings and added 33 runs for the first wicket partnership. Then Michael van Lingen gave a simple catch to Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja followed him with two back to back wickets of Stephan Baard and Craig Williams.

The skipper of the side, Gerhard Erasmus added 12 runs before being dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin for 12 runs. David Wiese added some vital runs for his team and was sent back to the pavilion by Jasprit Bumrah.

Then the lower-order batters Jan Frylink and Ruben Trumpelmann scored 15 and 13 runs respectively and helped their team to post a decent total of 132 runs on the board.

India - Namibia

Chasing the target of 133 runs, the regular opening pair, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul opened the innings for India and give the start that the team expected from them. Rohit Sharma started to overwhelm the opposition bowlers and didn't let them get the flow with the ball.

KL Rahul on the other end played an anchor role with his partner and continuously rotated the strike and also punished the bowlers for their poor deliveries. After Rohit Sharma reaches his half-century, Jan Frylink removed him for 56 runs. Then Virat Kohli sent Suryakumar Yadav over him to bat.

He batted well along with KL Rahul and finished the match for his team. Both KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav remained unbeaten of 54 and 25 runs respectively. However, India is out of the competition and will be looking ahead to the next mega-event which is going to conclude soon.

Besides, during the first innings of the match, Jasprit Bumrah did a blunder by missing the run-out of the opposition batsman. All the players and coaches couldn't control their laughs and the video went viral on social media.
