Watch: Faf Du Plessis had no clue against Mohammad Wasim

After resuming the Pakistan Super League, the contest is getting heater every day with a lot of brilliant performance on the field. In the 18th match of the league, Quetta Gladiators (QG) and Islamabad United (IU) faced each other at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The skipper of Islamabad, Shadab Khan won the toss and opted to field first.

Quetta Gladiators didn't get the expected start as they lost three wickets before reaching the total of 50 runs. Faf du Plessis, Usman Khan and Sarfaraz Ahmed returned to the pavilion with cheap numbers. But the English batsman Jake Weatherland was clear with his thought and dominated the opposition bowlers till the 13th over of the game.

Akif Javed delivered it for his team and removed the well-settled batsman for 43 runs. Then Azam Khan played a decent cameo and added 26 runs for his side. Besides, the Proteas batsman Faf du Plessis has been seen struggling against Mohammad Wasim right from his first over and the latter cleared his way back to the dugout.

Summary of the game:

The West Indies powerhouse Andre Russell also failed to contribute with the bat and came back to the dressing room after scoring 13 runs, including two sixes. In the end, Quetta Gladiators managed to post a total of 133 runs on the board. Islamabad bowlers did well in the first innings and now the remaining responsibilities should be handled by the batsmen.

Sarfaraz Ahmed and his men came on the field with some faith in them but the opposition batsmen Colin Munro and Usman Khawaja had other ideas. Both the batsman started to hit right from the game's first ball and continued the same momentum till the end. Opposition bowlers didn't have any clue to bowl as they become heavy on them.
