Watch: Canada players started to celebrate before losing the match against the USA in Super Over
During a match in the ICC T20 World Cup America Qualifiers that was held in Antigua on Wednesday, the Canada side started to celebrate their victory before the umpire makes a call.
The Canada players thought that their wicket-keeper Hamza Tariq make Rusty Theron run out on the last delivery of the match. Hilariously, Canada was celebrating the wicket as Rusty Theron and Ali Khan went on to complete the second run and drew the match.
Having a quick look at the match, Canada won the toss and decided to bat first. They got a decent start from the openers and Navneet Dhaliwal and Ravinderpal Singh made a good partnership in the middle. Both the batsmen added 44 runs each and helped the side to post a quite challenging total of 142 runs on board.

Chasing the target, Steven Taylor and Monank Patel opened the innings for the USA. Both the batters didn't live up to the expectations and went back to the pavilion with the numbers 6 and 0.
Aaron Jones and Ian Holland also returned to the dressing room with cheap scores. But Xavier Marshall played a decent knock in the middle and scored 28 runs. Then the lower-order did a good job as Nisarg Patel, Jaskaran Malhotra and Karima Gore scored 25, 35 and 31 runs respectively.

In the end, the USA won the match in the Super Over by defending the total of 22 runs posted by them. It was a thrilling match as everything happened that fans expected from this game.
After winning the match against Canada, the USA cricket team is virtually qualified for the Global Qualifiers which is going to take place in Australia. It will be interesting to see who's going to compete with the USA for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
