T20 World Cup 2021: Quinton De Kock dropped after refusing to take the knee for BLM movement

West Indies and South Africa are currently playing in a 20-over cricket match. As a result of the poor level of cricket, both countries are battling mightily in the t20 World Cup.

West Indies cricket, on the other hand, is quite active right now. They seem to be a squad at the end of its rope. Furthermore, their performance in the t20 World Cup says a lot about them as well. They just suffered the most humiliating defeat conceivable in a match versus England. In the first inning, the once-raging side went all-out for just 55 runs. This was also the lowest t20 score by a Test-playing country ever. The Windies are in such a plight right now.

South Africa, on the other hand, will be very busy during the World Cup, both on and off the pitch. They're taking a close look at the decimated West Indies squad. They may, however, come back stronger since they now have a larger pool of great players at their disposal. However, for the South African cricket team, things have not gone well. As a result of the divisions within the cricket board, the team is having a difficult time. In addition, the board's politics are to blame for this.

However, the South African government has the power to change the course of events. Even yet, they're keeping tabs on the situation and seem to be really enjoying themselves. Furthermore, the political arena in South Africa is in this state.

Cricket All of South Africa's players were given an ultimatum: they must kneel in every World Cup game going forward. In order to assure the Black Lives Matter movement's support, this was done. In addition, a number of sports teams have taken a knee to protest racism.

However, things went well among the participants, despite the fact that many were dissatisfied with the choice. Furthermore, they filed a grievance against it with the South African board.

In contrast, the CSA board mandated that all consultants kneel during World Cup games. Players were outraged by the decision, and several of them refused to bowed their heads or show their support for the protesters.

In addition, the participants chose not to become engaged in politics. Even before the t20, Quinton de Kock was dropped for refusing to take a knee.

The South African board erred greatly by placing this choice so obviously in the hands of the players. In addition, numerous South African players were seen in the t20 match not kneeling. The decision to bench Quinton de Kock for the World Cup game is even being questioned by some. This is not going to be resolved anytime soon, which might have negative consequences for all sides.
