SA vs IND: Watch - Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli, Pujara saw dancing with the hotel staff after defeating the Proteas

 

Virat Kohli and his men have created history by defeating the Proteas in their backyard. They become the first Asian team to beat South Africa at the Centurion and will be remembered for years. 

So, have a look at the 1st Test between these two teams, India opened the innings along with KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal after Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat first. Both the openers gave a good start to the innings and added 117 runs for the first wicket partnership.

Mayank Agarwal has been dismissed by Lungi Ngidi when he was batting on 60 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara also walked back to the dugout with a golden duck. Virat Kohli played some good shots and scored 35 runs before being dismissed by Lungi Ngidi.

KL Rahul completed his hundred and has been removed by Lungi Ngidi after scoring 123 runs for his team. Following him, Ajinkya Rahane who was looked well with the willow has missed by fifty by just 2 runs.

With some decent cameo from the lower-order batters, India posted a total of 327 runs on the board. South Africa opened the innings with Dean Elgar and Aiden Markram who have been removed by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami.

Ind vs Sa - Indian cricket team

The Indian bowlers dominated the opposition batting alley, as no one excluding Temba Bavuma has crossed the 40-run mark. The right-handed batsman scored 52 runs in the first inning of South Africa along with the wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock who scored 34 runs for his team.

The lower-order batters of South Africa have done quite well with the bat and helped their side to post some valuable runs, 197 at the end of their inning. With more than 100 runs in hand, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal opened the innings for India.

However, Mayank Agarwal has been dismissed at the end of the third day by Marco Jansen for 4 runs. The top-order and the middle-order batters of the Indian team have been decent with the bat and Rishabh Pant was the highest scorer who added 34 runs for his team.

Dean Elgar was looking strong on one end, whereas Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj demolished the South African batters like beasts. In the end, India beat the hosts by 113 runs and become the first Asian team to win the Test at Centurion.

After defeating the Proteas, the Indian cricketers were dancing with the hotel staff to celebrate the Centurion, including Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli.
