Then Mark Chapman and Martin Guptill played well in the middle for their side and added a crucial partnership of 109 runs for the second wicket. Ravichandran Ashwin gives the breakthrough for his skipper by sending back the well-settled Mark Chapman for 63 runs.

He continued the flow by removing Glenn Phillips in the same over as well. And Deepak Chahar got the big fish when he got the wicket of dangerous Martin Guptill for 70 runs.

Rohit Sharma just missed his fifty by 2 runs and has been sent back to the dressing room by boult. However, Suryakumar Yadav continued to play his role and added a fifty-plus knock to his name. In the end, India beat New Zealand in the 1st T20 on Wednesday.
