IND vs NZ: Watch - Tim Southee's double-wicket maiden over
The first Test between India and New Zealand is currently going on at the Green Park in Kanpur. After opting to bat first, India posted a good total of 345 runs on the board, with the help of debutant Shreyas Iyer and co.
Following that, New Zealand got a perfect start from their openers Will Young and Tom Latham as both the batters added 151 runs partnership for the first wicket.
However, Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel did the job quite well with the ball and scalped 3 and 5 wickets respectively. Both the openers missed their hundred by 5 and 11 runs. Apart from them, the other batters didn't even cross the 30 run mark as the Indian spinners dominated them with the ball.

India in their second innings didn't get the expected start as Shubman Gill returned to the dressing room with a single run. Cheteshwar Pujara once again failed to convert his start and was dismissed by Kyle Jamieson for 22 runs.
Ajinkya Rahane and Mayank Agarwal followed him with the numbers 4 and 17. Even Ravindra Jadeja who scored a fifty in the first innings has failed to continue his form in the second innings and warmed the bench with a duck.
But Shreyas Iyer who looked well in the first innings continued his form in the next innings and added 65 runs for his team. In the end, Wriddhiman Saha and Axar Patel contributed well with the bat and remained unbeaten on 61 and 28 runs respectively.
They declared the innings and posted a quite challenging target of 284 runs for the opposition. At the end of Day 4, India managed to pick the wicket of Will Young and will be looking to win the game on the final day. Besides, Tim Southee bowled a fabulous delivery to dismiss Ravindra Jadeja for a duck.
