IND vs AUS 2023: Watch - Rohit Sharma loses his cool and lashes out at Kuldeep Yadav for making wrong DRS call

The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma lost his cool after Kuldeep Yadav asked Rohit Sharma to take DRS, which favoured the Australian side. Talking about the series decider game between India vs Australia, Steven Smith opted to bat after winning the toss.

Batting first, Australia posted a quite defendable total of 269 runs after being bowled by the hosts. Mitchell Marsh top scored for his side as he added 47 runs whereas other batters failed to reach the 40-run mark.

Alex Carey has been decent in the middle, scoring 38 runs and the lower order tried their best to put up some valuable runs on the board. Chasing the target, India got a good start from their openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill.

Both the batters added 30 and 37 runs before returning to the dressing room. Virat Kohli looked in good touch with the bat as he scored 54 runs before being dismissed by Ashton Agar.

Despite getting decent contributions from the top order, the middle-order batters Axar Patel and Suryakumar Yadav failed to add some runs for their side. Hardik Pandya tried to get the game to an end but Adam Zampa removed the Indian all-rounder on 40 runs.

In the end, Australia won the match by 21 runs and won the 3-match ODI series by 2-1. After losing the series decider, Rohit Sharma shared a few words in the post-match presentation and accepted their mistakes in this game against Australia.

"I don't think it was too many runs. We didn't bat well. Partnerships are crucial and that's something we failed to do today. You are brought up playing in these type of wickets, it's important you apply.

After the start, it was important for one batter to carry on and take the game deep. It just didn't happen. Lot of takeaways. We can take a lot of positives from the nine ODIs since January. We need to understand where we need to improve.

It's a collective failure, we can take a lot of learnings from this series. Credit to the Australians. Both the spinners applied the pressure and so did their seamers," Rohit Sharma was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
