After getting defeated by Australia in the 3rd Test match, Rohit Sharma and his men once again accepted the challenge from the visitors and went one on one in the 4th and final Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

After opting out to bat first, Australia posted a quite massive total of 480 runs with the help of Usman Khawaja's 180-run knock. Cameron Green also scored a hundred and returned to the dressing with the number 114. Witnessing it's a flat track, the Indian batters did better than Australia and put up a mammoth total of 571 runs on the board.

Virat Kohli was the man who shined with the bat scoring 186 runs and made his side sit on the driver's seat in this game. Shubman Gill also looked well with the willow at the top order as he scored 128 runs which is his maiden hundred in the longest format of the game.

In the second innings of the game, Australia was forced to bat on the final day of the game where Travis Head and Marnus Labuchagne took away the game from the hosts and made 90 and 63 runs respectively.

Hence, India won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and will be playing the ICC World Test Championship Final against Australia at the Oval in England. Ravindra Jadeja was adjudged Player of the Series for his heroics with both the bat and the ball.

"It feels good bowling with him. He ( Ravichandran Ashwin) is passing on information. What field to have, how to bowl to a particular batsman. I am not too happy with my batting in this series. I missed out on a few occasions, especially in this Test.

I will work harder and focus on my batting. He is more of everything. He has a good cricketing brain. He knows every team in the world and every series that is being played," said Ravindra Jadeja during the post-match presentation as quoted by Cricbuzz.

However, during the game, Virat Kohli sledged the on-field umpire Nitin Menon for not giving out for Usman Khawaja, saying 'Main hota toh out deta'. The video has gone viral among the fans as after a long time, the former Indian skipper hilariously trolls the umpire in Test cricket.
