BPL 2022: Watch - Andre Russell gets run out in an unusual manner, never seen before


The Bangladesh Premier League has just kicked off today and the first match has been played between Chattogram Challengers and Fortune Barishal. Currently, the second match of the league is going on between Khulna Tigers and Minister Group Dhaka at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

Having a look at the ongoing game, Khulna Tigers won the toss and opted to take the field. Minister Group Dhaka opened the innings with Mohammad Shahzad and Tamim Iqbal who provided a fabulous start to the innings. The Afghan cricketer gave a flying start to the innings and scored 42 off 27 balls before going back to the dugout.

Tamim Iqbal completed his fifty and soon had to go back as he handed over a simple catch to Naveen ul Haq. The skipper of Minister Group Dhaka, Mahmudullah came in the middle of the game and played a quick cameo of 29 off 20 balls for his team.

The rest of the side didn't live up to the marks as Minister Group Dhaka posted a competitive total of 183 runs on the board. Following the target, Khulna Tigers opened the innings with Tanzid Hasan and Andre Fletcher.

Shuvagata Hom provided the early breakthrough for his team by removing Tanzid Hasan for just 2 runs. Then Rony Talukdar joined with the Caribbean batter and started to dominate the opposition bowlers all around the park.

However, Andre Russell gave an important breakthrough by removing Andre Fletcher who was looking dangerous on one end. Mushfiqur Rahim has also flopped with the willow and warmed the bench with the number 6. Then Ebadot Hossain removed the well-settled Rony Talukdar for 61 runs.

However, Thisara Perera took away the game by smashing 36 off 18 balls which involve 6 boundaries as Khulna Tigers won the battle by 5 wickets. During the match, Andre Russel got out bizarrely and the video has gone viral among the fans on social media.
