Ashes 2021-22: Watch - David Warner wins the hearts of the fans after giving his gloves to a fan in the Adelaide Test

Australia and England were engaged in the second Test match of the Ashes 2021-22 at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. Having a look at the ongoing match, the skipper of the Australian cricket team, Steve Smith won the toss and opted to bat first.

Pat Cummins has been ruled out of this match as Steve Smith has taken the charge in his absence. The stand-in skipper will be looking to get some runs with his bat as he didn't create much impact in the first Test.

David Warner and Marcus Harris opened the innings for Australia after their skipper won the toss and opted to bat first. The England bowlers, Stuart Broad and James Anderson who have been added to the line-up have straightaway done their job.

Both the bowlers' including Chris Woakes and Ollie Robinson didn't let the openers play their strokes freely. They continuously troubled the batters by hitting the perfect line and length and made it more difficult to aggregate runs on this wicket.

Both the batsmen played well against the opposition bowlers and added172 runs for the second wicket partnership. David Warner once again missed his well deserved hundred after being dismissed for 95 runs by Ben Stokes.
