Watch: Virat Kohli pumped up after a mixup between Alex Lees and Joe Root

At Edgbaston in Birmingham, the fifth and final Test of the five-match series is now being played between India and England. In reply, English openers Zak Crawley and Alex Lees created an opening partnership of more than 100 runs, but the latter lost his wicket after a terrible mix-up with Joe Root. India was able to set a target of 378 runs for the hosts to chase down on Day 4.

Ravindra Jadeja's 25th over was when the incident occurred, and Alex Lees was dismissed as a result of the mayhem. Joe Root was calling for a single, but his partner was still a long way away. Alex Lees wasn't sure where the ball had gone as it squirted to backward square leg, and India was celebrating their third wicket in three overs as he couldn't hear the call due to the noise.

When Jadeja had all the time necessary to remove the bails, Mohammed Shami threw the ball in the direction of the bowler's end. After hitting six boundaries and scoring 56 from 65 balls, Alex Lees was run out. After being dismissed, Virat Kohli was overcome with joy as the Indian crowd erupted in jubilation as the major wickets changed the tide in India's favour.

Virat Kohli and Jonny Bairstow got into a fight earlier in the Test. The English hitter frequently missed Mohammed Shami's ball outside of the stumps on day three.

At that point, Kohli addressed Bairstow and the latter responded. This infuriated Kohli, who then launched a barrage of insults at the hitter. When the former captain of India finally caught Bairstow, he gave him a kiss before beginning the arduous journey back to the pavilion.
