Watch: Matthew Wade throws his helmet and bat in dressing room

At the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 67th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

Matthew Wade was unhappy in the first innings when the TV umpire pronounced him LBW after he took the DRS and was also dismissed on the field. The left-hander was very confident about nicking the ball.

Hardik Pandya, the GT captain, had won the toss and elected to bat first. Both teams made one change to their starting XIs, with Siddharth Kaul replacing Mohammed Siraj for RCB and Lockie Ferguson replacing Alzarri Joseph for GT.

GT got off to a rough start, losing Shubman Gill in the third overdue to a spectacular catch by Glenn Maxwell in the second innings. Maxwell was also responsible for the second wicket, dismissing Matthew Wade with an LBW decision on his bowling.

On the second ball of the powerplay's last over. The on-field umpire called Matthew Wade out, but he chose to appeal. Maxwell had bowled a length ball that was aimed for the stumps. Wade moved across the field and swung the ball towards fine-leg. There is no bat involved, and the ball tracker indicates that it would have hit the middle and leg.

However, it looked like the ball had touched the bat but the ultra edge did not show any spike that cost Wade's wicket. After entering the dressing room, the frustrated wicket-keeper threw his helmet and bat.
