WI vs IND: Watch - Arshdeep Singh cleaned up Akeal Hossain with a toe crushing in the 1st T20I

 

India clashed with Nicholas Pooran-led West Indies in the 1st T20I on Friday, 29th July. Having a look at the game, the skipper of West Indies, Nicholas Pooran won the toss and opted to take the field.

Batting first, India posted a fighting total of 190 runs with the help of Rohit Sharma's 64 and Dinesh Karthik's unbeaten 41 off just 19 balls. Fans loved to watch both the batters as one gave a good start to the side whereas the Tamil Nadu-based cricketer finished the match likewise he did in the recently concluded Indian Premier League.

Chasing the target posted by the opposition, West Indies failed to get past over the line and lost the match by a huge margin of 68 runs. The Indian bowlers didn't let the opposition batters settle in the crease as they continuously provided breakthroughs at regular intervals of the game.

Rohit Sharma - Wi vs Ind

Dinesh Karthik was named the Player of the Match for his prolific show with the willow, smashing 41 runs from just 19 balls with the help of 4 boundaries and 2 sixes.

In the post-match presentation, the wicket-keeper batter shared a few words about his role for the side, saying, "It was sticky, not an easy wicket to bat on.

Besides, during the game, Arshdeep Singh has been brilliant with the ball as he provided the first breakthrough for India by sending back the dangerous Kyle Mayers for 15 runs. After that, Arshdeep Singh bowled a toe-crushing yorker to Akeal Hossain and sent back the batter for 11 runs.
