Team India are taking on Nicholas Pooran-led West Indies Warner Park, Basseterre in St Kitts. Talking about the ongoing match between these two sides, the skipper of India, Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited the hosts to bat.

Brandon King and Kyle Mayers opened the innings and gave a fine start to their innings. Both the batters added 57 runs for the opening wicket before Hardik Pandya provided the first breakthrough by sending back Brandon King for 20 runs.

However, Nicholas Pooran and Kyle Mayers build up another crucial partnership, adding 50 runs for the second wicket, as Nicholas Pooran returned to the dressing after scoring 22 runs.

Kyle Mayers has looked in fine touch with the bat, scoring 73 runs off 50 deliveries before handling a simple catch to Rishabh Pant off Bhuvneshwar Kumar's spell.

Following his dismissal, Rovman Powell and Shimron Hetmyer tried to build up a partnership in the middle but the right-handed batter had to walk back to the dressing room after scoring 23 runs.

Shimron Hetmyer has been run out by Suryakumar Yadav in the final over of Arshdeep Singh for 20 runs. In the end, West Indies posted a quite competitive total of 164 runs, as Rohit Sharma and his men will be happy after making a strong comeback into the game.

Besides, during the game, Hardik Pandya provided the first breakthrough for India as he went through the stumps of Brandon King and gave a much-needed wicket after a fiery start for the West Indies.
