T20 World Cup 2022: Aus vs NZ Live, Watch - Josh Hazlewood removes dangerous Finn Allen with a sensational yorker

 

Australia and New Zealand were currently engaged in the 1st match of the Super 12 of the T20 World Cup 2022 at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. Coming to the game, the skipper of Australia, Aaron Finch won the toss and opted to take the field.

For New Zealand, Finn Allen and Devon Conway opened the innings and gave a fiery start that Australian bowlers didn't expect from the openers. Finn Allen smashed 42 runs off just 16 balls with the help of 5 boundaries and 3 sixes to his name.

After being dismissed by Josh Hazlewood, the skipper of New Zealand, Kane Williamson joined the action alongside Devon Conway who was quietly building on the other end.

Both the batters dominated the Australian bowlers and put up a 69-run stand for the second wicket before Kane Williamson lefts the battle after being dismissed by the leggie, Adam Zampa.

However, Josh Hazlewood once again provided the breakthrough by sending back Glenn Phillips for just 12 runs. Coming in at number five, Jimmy Neesham had to deal with the Australian bowlers, smashing 26 off just 13 balls and his innings included 2 sixes.

On the other side, Devon Conway smashed an unbeaten 92 runs from just 58 balls with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes. In the end, New Zealand posted a huge total of 200 runs and challenged the hosts to chase.

Chasing the total, David Warner and Aaron Finch opened the innings and Tim Southee gave the first breakthrough by sending back the left-handed batter for a duck. Besides, during the game, Josh Hazlewood bowled the dangerous Finn Allen who smashed 42 runs off just 16 balls with a perfect yorker.
