Ranji Trophy: Watch - Hilarious! Yashasvi Jaiswal takes 54 balls to get off the mark, gets applauded by teammates

 

The second semi-final of the Ranji Trophy match is going on between Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh at the Just Cricket Academy Ground in Bangalore. Uttar Pradesh opted to bowl after winning the toss.

Batting first, Mumbai posted a good score of 393 runs on the board. The wicket-keeper batter Hardik Tamore has been the best with the bat, scoring 115 runs for his team.

On the other hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal provided the start that his side expected from him, as the left-handed batter scored 100 runs before being dismissed by Karn Sharma.

The skipper continued his spell and scalped 4 wickets for his team against Mumbai. With 393 runs in front, Uttar Pradesh has been bowled out for 180 runs by the opposition.

Tushar Deshpande, Mohit Avasthi and Tanush Kotian have bagged 3 wickets each to their name with Dhawal Kulkarni giving the first breakthrough for his side.

Having a lead of 213 runs, Prithvi Shaw and Yashasvi Jaiswal once again opened the innings for Mumbai and provided a fabulous start for their side. Prithvi Shaw scored 64 off 71 balls before getting dismissed by Saurabh Kumar.

Notably, the first wicket had a partnership of 66 runs in which the left-handed batter, Yashasvi Jaiswal didn't score a single run till he faced 53 balls in the game. He scored his first run after facing 54 balls, smashing a boundary towards the square leg region.

After that, everyone applauded the latter including the bowler as well. As of now, the 20-year-old cricketer is batting on 140 runs and will be looking to complete his 150 in the upcoming session.

On the other side, Armaan Jaffer also looks well settled with the bat, scoring 119 runs for his team. Both the batters have put up a brilliant 272-run stand for the second wicket and their side has a lead of 551 runs on the board.
