Manoj Tiwary-led Bengal is up against Karan Sharma's Uttar Pradesh in the Elite Group A at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Having a look at the ongoing clash, Manoj Tiwary won the toss and decided to bowl. Madhav Kaushik and Aanjaneya Suryavanshi opened the innings for Uttar Pradesh.
However, both the batters had to walk back to the pavilion with zero after being dismissed by Ishan Porel and Pritam Chakraborty. After that, the skipper of Uttar Pradesh, Karan Sharma also returned to the dressing room, scoring just 10 runs and got cleaned up by Ishan Porel.
However, Priyam Garg who came in at number three looked good with the bat and put up an 89-run stand with Rinku Singh for the third wicket. But once again, it was Ishan Porel who provided a much-needed breakthrough for Bengal by sending back Priyam Garg for 53 runs.

After the dismissal of Priyam Garg, the 24-year-old pacer who was having a great day with the ball also sent back Akshdeep Nath for just one run. Following his dismissal, Aaradhya Yadav came who came in at number seven was dismissed by Ishan Porel for 18 runs.
Rinku Singh failed to convert his 79-run knock into a triple-digit score as he was dismissed by Pritam Chakraborty. And in the later stages of the game, Shahbaz Ahmed got the wickets of lower-order batters whereas Shivam Sharma remained unbeaten on 10 runs.

In the end, Uttar Pradesh posted a total of 198 runs with Ishan Porel being the star for Bengal in the first inning of the game. However, the scene was different in the next innings when Bengal came out to bat. Shivam Mavi removed all three top-order batters Abhishek Das, Koushik Ghosh and Sudip Kumar Gharami for cheap numbers.
As of now, Bengal is struggling against the lethal Uttar Pradesh attack and lost 4 wickets in just under 30 runs. Besides, during the game, the right-arm pacer, Ishan Porel bowled a dream delivery to get rid of the opposition skipper Karan Sharma.
