PSL 2022: Watch - Mohammad Rizwan gets out in a bizarre manner against Islamabad United

 

In the ongoing Pakistan Super League, Islamabad United and Multan Sultans went on to clash with each other in the 8th match of the tournament at the National Stadium in Karachi on Tuesday.

Having a look at the match, the skipper of Islamabad United, Shadab Khan won the toss and asked the opposition to bat. After being asked to bat first by the opposition, Multan Sultans didn't get the expected start as Mohammad Rizwan has to walk back to the dressing room after scoring 12 runs for his team.

But his partner Shan Masood batted well at the top-order and scored 43 runs before being dismissed by Marchant de Lange. However, the South African batsman Rilee Rossouw and Tim David batted well in the middle for Multan Sultans and added 110 runs for the fourth wicket partnership.

Tim David scored 71 off just 29 balls which consisted of 6 fours and 6 sixes as he has been dismissed by Mohammad Wasim. In the end, Multan Sultans posted a mammoth total of 217 runs with Rilee Rossouw remaining unbeaten on 67.

Chasing the mammoth target posted by Multan Sultans, Paul Stirling and Alex Hales opened the innings for Islamabad United. David Willey provided the first breakthrough for his team by removing Paul Stirling who was batting on 19 runs.

Alex Hales has failed to convert his start and returned to the pavilion after scoring 23 runs for his team. Rahmanullah Gurbaz has also failed to contribute with the bat in the top-order and has been dismissed by Khushdil Shah for 15 runs.

However, the skipper of the side Shadab Khan came in at number four and straightaway into the action and started to dominate the opposition bowlers all around the park.

He scored 91 runs with the help of 5 boundaries and 9 sixes but couldn't reach the total as the middle and lower order batters didn't contribute up to the expectations with the bat.

In the end, Multan Sultans won the match by a margin of 20 runs. Besides, during the match, Mohammad Rizwan has been run out in an unwanted way as the video has gone viral among the fans on social media.
