PSL 2022: Watch - Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Hafeez dropped an easy catch and then justified it

 

Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars have clashed with each other in the 9th match of the Pakistan Super League at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Winnings the toss, Peshawar Zalmi asked the opposition to bat first. Abdullah Shafique and Fakhar Zaman opened the innings for Lahore Qalandars and gave a flying start to the innings. Both the batsmen dominated the opposition bowlers and added 96 runs for the opening wicket partnership.

Usman Qadir provided the first breakthrough by taking the wicket of Abdullah Shafique who was batting on 41 runs. After his dismissal, Hussain Talat sent off the well-settled Fakhar Zaman for 66 runs.

However, Kamran Ghulam and Mohammed Hafeez played a good cameo in the middle and scored 30 and 37 runs respectively. In the end, Rashid Khan showed some fireworks in the sky and smashed 22 runs from 8 balls and helped his team to post a well competitive total of 199 runs on the board.

Chasing the target posted by Peshawar Zalmi, Lahore Qalandars opened the innings with Hazratullah Zazai and Kamran Akmal. Shaheen Afridi removed the Afghan batsman in the first over of the game.

After that, Hussain Talat joined with the right-hander and added 66 runs for the second wicket partnership before being dismissed by Zaman Khan for 15 runs. Kamran Akmal followed him in the same over and warmed the bench after scoring 41 runs for his team.

Haider Ali played well in the middle for Peshawar Zalmi and scored 49 runs before he has been run-out by Fakhar Zaman. Sherfane Rutherford played a quick cameo and scored 21 runs from 11 balls.

Shoaib Malik and Ben Cutting didn't live up to the expectations as they have returned to the dressing room with cheap numbers. In the end, Lahore Qalandars defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 29 runs. Besides, during the match, Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Hafeez collided with each other while trying to take the catch of Haider Ali.
