PSL 2022: Watch - Erin Holland relieves after Ben Cutting survives a close dismissal off Mohammad Nabi

 

Both Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi went on to face each other in the 11th match of the 7th edition of the Pakistan Super League on Friday. Talking about the match, Karachi Kings won the toss and decided to take the field.

Hazratullah Zazai and Kamran Akmal opened the innings for Peshawar Zalmi and gave a good start for their side. Both the batters played well in the powerplay overs and added 53 runs before Umaid Asif dismisses Hazratullah Zazai for 41 runs.

He continued to pick one more wicket and this time it was Kamran Akmal who had to walk back to the dugout after scoring 21 runs for his team.

Haider Ali and Ben Cutting has played some good shots and walked back to the dressing room after scoring 16 and 24 runs for their side. However, Shoaib Malik looked unstoppable on one end as he smashed 52 runs and helped his team to post a total of 173 runs on the board.

Babar Azam - Peshawar Zalmi

Chasing the target of 174 runs posted by the opposition, Karachi Kings opened the innings with their skipper Babar Azam and Sharjeel Khan. However, Sharjeel Khan had to walk back after finding himself in the first ball duck.

Sahibzada Farhan followed him in the very next over and he also bagged a duck in the same game. After back to back wickets, Ian Cockbain and Babar Azam joined their hands and started to overwhelm the opposition bowlers, as they added 75 runs for the third wicket partnership.

This time it was Usman Qadir who gave the breakthrough by removing Ian Cockbain for 31 runs. Mohammad Nabi and Aamer Yamin have been decent with the bat and scored 10 and 20 runs each.

Babar Azam was the lone warrior in the game who scored 90 runs which went on a losing cause. In the end, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings and won the match by 9 runs. However, during Peshawar Zalmi's innings, Ben Cutting's wife Eric Holland has been shocked as she thought Ben cutting was bold.
