After defeating Kandy Falcons, the skipper of Galle Gladiators, Kusal Mendis looked pretty happy in the post-match presentation and shared a few words about their performance in the game.

"It was an important toss. Was the same track used yesterday, so we knew it will be slow. It's a good pitch for the slower bowlers and they did the job for us," Kusal Mendis was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

"Toss wasn't that crucial, but we just gave too many runs away in the middle overs. When you lose a lot of wickets early, it's difficult to come back in such tricky chases and that's where we lost the game," said Wanindu Hasaranga.

However, during the game, Azam Khan who was standing behind the stumps got hit on his head when he tried to grab the ball bowled by Nuwan Pradeep. He was soon taken off the field on a stretcher and might be fit to play the upcoming game.
