IPL 2022: Watch - Yuzvendra Chahal reveals a life-threatening moment when he was representing Mumbai Indians

The right-arm leg spinner who has been roped by the Rajasthan Royals for the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League has shared a bizarre moment way back in 2013.

Before talking about that incident, Rajasthan Royals have won the first two matches they played against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians.

But they tasted their first defeat in their previous clash with Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore as they failed to defend the total posted by them.

Still, they are currently placed at the third spot in the points table and will be preparing for their upcoming encounter against Gujarat Titans which is led by the flamboyant Baroda all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

Moreover, they have got some special talent in their set-up, as they have the two premium spinners named Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal who can change the scenario at any moment of the game.

I realized how responsible we need to be, says Yuzvendra Chahal

IPL 2022 - Yuzvendra Chahal - Rajasthan Royals

In a video released by Rajasthan Royals, Yuzvendra Chahal shared a threatening moment with his teammate Ravichandran Ashwin. "I never told this story, from today everyone will know. I never shared this.

This dates back to 2013 when I was with Mumbai Indians we had a match in Bangalore. There was a get-together after that. So there was a player who was very drunk, I won’t say his name.

He was very drunk, he was looking at me for a long time and he just called me and he took me outside and he hung me on the balcony," Yuzvendra Chahal was quoted as saying by CricTracker.

"And my hands were around him, like this (behind the neck). Had I lost my grip, I was on the 15th floor. Suddenly many people who were there came and they handled it. I kind of fainted, they gave me water.

Then I realized how responsible we need to be when we go anywhere. So this was one incident where I felt I made a narrow escape. Had there been slightest of mistakes, I would’ve fallen down," the leg-spinner added.
