IPL 2022: Watch - Hardik Pandya laughs after missing an easy run-out of Arshdeep Singh

 

Hardik Pandya and his men have clashed with Punjab Kings after winning their first two games this season. Having a look at the match, Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to take the field.

Batting first, Punjab Kings posted 189 runs with the help of Liam Livingstone's 64 and Rahul Chahal and Arshdeep Singh did well by coming down the order and added 27 runs for the last wicket.

Chasing 190 runs, Shubman Gill started pretty well against the opposition bowlers and scored 96 runs for his side. However, he missed his well-deserved century by just 4 runs.

In the final over of the game, Gujarat Titans needed 19 runs as the match went till the last two balls. With Rahul Tewatia on strike, Odean Smith had to defend 12 runs off 2 balls but the left-hander just turned the face of the match by smashing two sixes over the mid-wicket region.

After winning the match for Gujarat Titans, Rahul Tewatia shared a few words in the post-match presentation and claimed that where the West Indies all-rounder Odean Smith going to bowl the final ball of the over.

"It feels good when the game is won. There wasn't a lot to think in the final over, we just had to hit sixes and that's what me and David (Miller) were talking about.

Besides, during the first half of the game, Hardik Pandya missed an easy run-out chance of Arshdeep Singh during the final over of the match and walked back with a smile on his face.
