Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore have been engaged with each other at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Winning the toss, Faf du Plessis asked the opposition to bat. 

As usual, Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal opened the innings for Rajasthan Royals as David Willey provided the early breakthrough by sending back the left-hander for just 4 runs.

After his dismissal, Devdutt Padikkal joined with the English wicket-keeper batter and added a crucial partnership of 70 runs for the second wicket. This time, the trump card of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Harshal Patel provided the breakthrough by sending back the well-settled Padikkal for 37 runs.

Then the skipper of the side, Sanju Samson who was looked well in the first two games couldn't score big in this game and walked back to the dressing after being dismissed by Wanindu Hasaranga for 8 runs.

Besides, during the first half of the game, Harshal Patel has been asked to bowl an extra delivery by the on-field umpire as he got the well-settled Devdutt Padikkal when Virat Kohli pulled off a stunning back running catch.
