IPL 2022, RCB vs MI: Watch - Virat Kohli applauds Rohit Sharma after he gives a flying air hug to an intruder

After defeating Rajasthan Royals in the previous encounter, Faf du Plessis and his men have clashed with Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians on 10th April, Saturday. Winning the toss, Faf du Plessis asked the opposition to bat.

Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan opened the innings for Mumbai Indians and scored 50 runs for the opening wicket partnership. However, after their dismissal, the entire team has been collapsed but Suryakumar Yadav stood strong on one end and dominated the opposition bowlers all around the park.

With the help of Suryakumar Yadav's unbeaten 68, Mumbai Indians posted 151 runs on the board. Chasing the target, RCB got a good start from their openers Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat.

After the dismissal of the skipper, Virat Kohli joined with the youngster and decided to take over the opposition bowling alley. In the end, RCB won the match quite comfortably and it was their third win in this tournament.

After Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians were the other side to lose four consecutive matches on the trot. And, in the post-match presentation, the losing captain shared a lot about the performance and also praised Suryakumar Yadav for his sensible show with the bat.

"Just the combination that we felt would be ideal on certain pitches and certain opposition. We wanted to strengthen our batting, unfortunately, we had few overseas guys who were unavailable, so we wanted to get the best from whatever we had.

Just got 26, I wanted to bat as long as possible, but unfortunately, I got out at the wrong time. We were hitting that partnership, we just got off to a 50-run partnership, got out at the wrong time, that is something that's hurting us a little bit," Rohit Sharma was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

"Definitely not a 150 pitch, Surya showed us if you bat sensibly, you can get more than what you got. Lot of credit to Surya at least to get us to 150, but we knew that it wasn't going to be enough.

We took our chances with the ball but they batted quite sensibly. Lot of areas actually (to address), we want some of our batters to bat as deep as possible," he added.

Besides, during the second half of the game, an intruder came into the field and tried to hug Rohit Sharma. The skipper gave him an air hug, as Virat Kohli applauded his kind gesture toward the fan.
