IND vs WI: Watch - The top-order loose three wickets for 67 runs in the third T20I

 

The third T20 match between India and West Indies has come to an end after a lot of dramas at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Having a look at the match, West Indies won the toss and asked India to bat.

Surprisingly, Rohit Sharma let Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan open the innings in the final match against West Indies. However, things didn't go well for the right-handed batsman as he has to walk back after scoring just 4 runs for his team.

After that, Shreyas Iyer joined with Ishan Kishan and added 53 runs for the second wicket partnership. However, both the batters have been dismissed by Hayden Walsh and Roston Chase in back to back overs for 25 and 34 runs.

The skipper Rohit Sharma has also walked back to the dressing room with a single-digit score. Despite losing 4 wickets for 94 runs, Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer once again showed their skills and dominated the opposition bowlers all around the park.

In the end, Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer helped India to post a challenging total of 184 runs as both the batters scored 65 and 35 runs respectively. Chasing the target posted by the opposition, Kyle Mayers and Shai Hope opened the innings for West Indies.

However, both the batters have been dismissed by Deepak Chahar for 6 and 8 runs. After that, Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell have played some good shots in the powerplay overs before the right-handed batsman was dismissed by Harshal Patel for 25 runs.

Kieron Pollard and Jason Pollard have failed to accelerate in the middle overs and walked back to the pavilion with single-digit scores. Roston Chase scored 12 runs and after his dismissal, Romario Shepherd has changed the face of the game along with Nicholas Pooran.

But once again, Nicholas Pooran has failed to stand till the end and was dismissed by Shardul Thakur for 61 runs. In the end, India won the match by 17 runs and whitewashed West Indies in both ODI and T20 series.

However, during India's inning, Rohit Sharma has allowed the youngsters to bat at the top-order but they didn't live up to the expectations.
