IND vs SL: Watch - Mohammed Siraj imitated sword celebration with bottle after Ravindra Jadeja smashes the hundred
After an embarrassing battle on the first day of the first Test between India and Sri Lanka, both teams fought hard on the second day of the game. Talking about the first day, the skipper of the Indian team, Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat.
He opened the innings with Mayank Agarwal, as both the openers added 52 runs for the first wicket partnership. After that, Lasith Embuldeniya picked up his first wicket of the game by removing Mayank Agarwal for 33 runs.
Then Hanuma Vihari and Virat Kohli played well in the middle and added 90 runs for the third wicket partnership before Lasith Embumdeniya sends back Virat Kohli for 45 runs in his 100th Test match. Hanuma Vihari followed after scoring was cleaned by Vishwa Fernando for 58 runs.
Shreyas Iyer who looked well in the recently concluded T20 series against Sri Lanka has failed to contribute in this match. He scored 27 runs before being dismissed by Dhananjaya de Silva.
Ravindra Jadeja smashes 150 on Day 2:
After the dismissal of Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant took the charge in the lower-order and stitched a beautiful partnership for the sixth wicket and added 104 runs for it.
Unfortunately, Rishabh Pant missed his hundred by just 4 runs and walked back to the dressing room after scoring 96 runs for his team, as Suranga Lakmal went through the stumps of the left-hander.
Then Ravindran Ashwin joined the action with Ravindra Jadeja who was batting well on the other end. Both the batters fought well at the end of the day and kept their wickets in hold ahead of the next day.
On the second day of the game, both the batters stood well on their ends and added 130 runs for the seventh wicket partnership before Ravichandran Ashiwn has been dismissed by Suranga Lakmal for 61 runs.
However, Ravindra Jadeja smashed a fabulous hundred that followed by his maiden 150 as well. Rohit Sharma declared the innings when India was on 574 runs and Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 175 runs along with Mohammed Shami who was batting on 20 runs.
Now, Sri Lanka has to reach the total posted by the hosts and it will be interesting to see that the Indian bowlers can win the game in this total itself. Besides, Mohammed Siraj imitated Ravindra Jadeja's sword celebration when he smashed the hundred for his team.

Ravindra Jadeja holds the record for the highest score by an Indian at number 7 or below in test cricket history. Man's too good to be batting that low. Unbelievable consistency 🐐 pic.twitter.com/DOPoyUT40z

I'm a fan of Rahul Dravid but tbh declaration wasn't good, Ravindra Jadeja deserved that double century. That wasn't fair, we had lot of time.
Ravindra.... Ravindra Jadeja....
