IND vs SL: Watch - Comedy of errors as Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami have been hilariously mixed up

 

India and Sri Lanka were currently engaged in the first Test match of the series at the PCA stadium in Mohali. After deciding to bat first, India posted a mammoth total of 574 runs, as Rohit Sharma declared the innings and asked the opposition to chase the total.

During India's innings, Rohit Sharma opened the innings with Mayank Agarwal as both the batters has been dismissed for 29 and 33 runs.

After that, Hanuma Vihari and Virat Kohli (who playing his 100th Test match) has contributed decent in the middle and added 90 runs for the third wicket partnership before Virat Kohli gets dismissed for 45 runs by Lasith Embuldeniya.

Then Hanuma Vihari has also been dismissed after scoring his fifty and returned to the dressing room with the numbers 58. Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer looked good in the initial overs before Dhananjaya de Silva gets the wicket of the right-handed batsman for 27 runs.

Sri Lankan team in big trouble:

Ind vs Sl - Rohit Sharma - Ravichandran Ashwin

Rishabh Pant stood strong on one end and Ravindra Jadeja supported well from the other end as both the batters added 104 runs for the sixth wicket partnership.

Unfortunately, Rishabh Pant who was batting well has missed his century by just 4 runs and Ravichandran Ashwin took the charge and continued the innings where the left-hander left. The spin-duo added 130 runs as the right-arm spinner, Ashwin has been dismissed by Suranga Lakmal for 61 runs.

However, Ravindra Jadeja smashed his second century and continued it with a fabulous 150. In the first innings of Sri Lanka, Dimuth Karunaratne and Lahiru Thirimanne opened for the side and has been dismissed for 28 and 17 runs.

The Angelo Mathews tried to survive the likes of Jasprit Bumrah but failed in the end and handed over his wicket to the right-arm pacer when he was batting on 22 runs.

As of now, Sri Lanka ended up their day with a score of 108 runs and lost four wickets, as Pathum Nissanka and Charith Asalanka will be taking the charge on Day 3.

Besides, during India's innings, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami were running towards the same direction but Sri Lanka missed the opportunity to pick any one of their wickets.
