IND vs SA: Watch - Fans go berserk after Virat Kohli shows Anushka Sharma's video call from inside the team bus

Team India went face to face against South Africa in the 1st T20I on 28th September, Wednesday, at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Talking about the game, Rohit Sharma elected to field after winning the toss.

After being asked to bat first by the hosts, the South African top-order has been dominated by Indian pacers Arshdeep Singh and Deepak Chahar, sending four of their batters back for a duck.

After struggling a lot, the visiting side made 106 runs with the help of Keshav Maharaj's 41 runs. Chasing the target, Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje removed both the Indian stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for cheap numbers.

However, KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav set the platform for the side and chased down the total within 17 overs of the game. Both the batters remained unbeaten throughout the innings, scoring 51 and 50 runs respectively.

Winning the match, Arshdeep Singh was named Player of the Match for his heroics with the ball as he scalped 3 wickets conceding 32 runs in his spell.

During the post-match presentation, the left-arm pacer shared a lot about the game and said, "I had thought about what to say if I get the man of the match award and got a little excited (when he was eager to come and talk).

In the first over DC bhai (Deepak Chahar) set the tone and we knew there was plenty of help from the surface," was quoted as same as in Cricbuzz.

"The plan was to keep it simple and bowl in the right areas. I enjoyed Miller's wicket as I thought he was expecting an outswinger but I bowled an inswinger instead.

The thought was to get his (Maharaj) wicket but he played well and the plan could have been different. I am refreshed, had a good training session at NCA and hopefully I give such performances moving forward as well," he added.

After the game, Virat Kohli was seen having a conversation with his wife Anushka Sharma in a video call which he showed to the fans from the team bus behind the hotel.
