IND vs ENG: Indian cricketers arrived in Leicestershire, and Virat Kohli enters with an attitude

Rohit Sharma-led Indian side will be taking on England without the services of their star batter KL Rahul in the top order. He suffered a groin injury before the start of the South Africa series.

In that case, the right-handed batter had to miss the five-match T20I series against South Africa and will also miss the upcoming series against England as well.

However, BCCI is yet to announce the replacement for KL Rahul and might announce it soon before the first Test. On the other side, they have confirmed that Shubman Gill will open the innings with his skipper Rohit Sharma in the absence of KL Rahul.

Cheteshwar Pujara who is returning to the side after having a great County season in England will have a lot of speculation on him. As of now, Team India has arrived in Leicestershire ahead of their first warm-up game.

He's not in the local area now: Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes

The newly-appointed skipper of England, Ben Stokes has recently gone on to visit his childhood cricket club. "No. I didn't even give it (becoming England captain) a second thought.

I was probably just thinking about what I'd be doing the next day at that age. I always enjoy coming back here. I've been very public about the effect Cockermouth Cricket Club had had on my career," Ben Stokes was quoted as saying by BBC.

"I think cricket has always been one of the most accessible sports for fans to get hold of the people they see on their TV screens. As players, we've got a greater responsibility than just being out there and playing the game," he added.

"We've got a thriving junior section and have had for many years. Ben plays a large part in that even though he's not in the local area now. His presence on the world stage is a massive inspiration and influence to all the children," said Gareth White, former Cockermouth cricketer.
