Chasing the target, India lost KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma within the powerplay overs.

However, Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli steadied the drowning ship by putting up a 104-run stand for the third wicket before Suryakumar Yadav returned to the dressing after scoring an entertaining knock of 69 runs from 36 balls.

But Virat Kohli took the game with Hardik Pandya, as the Baroda all-rounder once again finished the game and helped India to seal the 3-match T20I series against Australia.

Winning the match, the skipper of Team India, Rohit Sharma looked happy in the post-match presentation and shared a few words about their performance against the visiting side, Australia.

"It's a special place. We have had great memories playing for India and when I played for Deccan Chargers as well. Biggest positive was different individuals stepping up and delivering. You feel good about it as a management. Margin of error in T20s is small. We took our chances, we were brave as well.

Sometimes it doesn't come off. There are areas to improve as well. Not easy coming back after a break against a tough team. They (Bumrah and Harshal) will take some time. Hopefully, they can get back into their groove in the next series," Rohit Sharma was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

After Hardik Pandya smashed the winning runs for India, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were seen celebrating with an epic reaction and hugged each other for defeating Australia in the series decider game.
